The South Koreans have said NO to Imported US beef. The streets of Seoul will be Grade A Prime Bulgogi-less.
Can this be true? Can a society which values dog-meat really be this picky about its beef? What does that mean for us beef-eaters at home, in the US?
I think we should take a page out of the Koreans play-book and say NO to domestic, commercial, feed-lot, factory-farmed Industrial beef, right along with them. If the USDA won't test for BSE--aka Mad Cow Disease--and won't allow private testing for it, than perhaps its time to send the message--American Consumers want quality meat from safe, quality sources and are prepared to buy it from local sources from farmers they know to be sure that they and their families have the best. _________________ Keep on Cookin'!
