Neil,
I was exited to see the film was on offer. I had hoped to see you or perhaps some of Podchef kitchen, we hear you banging around in there during the Gastrocasts, but you do not show us. Please consider doing so!
Eating good,
Big Ed
Neil,
I have seen more permanent poly tunnels done with rebar (the steel reinforcement for concrete) substituted for the pvc in yours connected with baling wire instead of tape or Tee fittings. If you like using the tunnel this year you may want to do that next year it would hold up better than pvc in the wind, for about the same cost.
Eating well,
Big Ed
Ed,

Thanks for the suggestions. The wind is hammering the tunnel today and I have had to make more repairs. Had I been thinking about it I would have run soft-copper through the pipes in the direction of the damage. That would have linked everything together and kept the joints from failing.

If this tunnel survives the wind storms we're having now it will be because it is flexible and can blow in the wind and move about a bit so that the plastic tarping stretched over it does not tear. Perhaps if I build another one--somewhere there isn't so much wind--I will use metal electrical conduit. It comes in long lengths and can easily be bent. I have made Isleway Arches for a wedding Isle from it and it works great for that sort of thing.
Ah, live and learn.

About the video. Because I'm shooting it with my still camera it has to be shortand they aren't the best. I have, however, been thinking of doing some more video of me cooking. I need to come up with a technique again like the chicken or onion videos which really need the visual element.
