My Main Site

I’ve been editing my main website over the past 24 hours. I’m changing it from a horribly out-of-date static site to a Wordpress blog run site (sorry Howard ;-} )

The learning curve is quite steep as I’m used to creating everything off line with GoLive and FTPing it up when it is done. Although the time-frame is much shorter this way.

If there are any Wordpress Guru’s out there I’d love to know how to make my Home Page link back up to my posts–which for the moment are hidden. I want to use the posts to keep things up to date, but have more standard, non-changing pages accesible. Having no experinece with php I’ve hit my head against a few walls, but I think mainly my dizziness comes from staring at the screen for too long. . . .

I’m hoping that the fact that blogs seem to get more traffic than regular websites, this will help the fact that the only traffic coming to my much neglected commercial site almost always comes from this blog.

Whole Hog

This could be a really great blog/website to keep tabs on, but as they don’t offer RSS and they don’t have public comments set I can’t tell them that I support their efforts and can’t wait to attend the meeting to hear what they have to say. I also can’t tell them that if they opened up their comments, and provided a feed they would get more support. I’m not too sure, just who they think their blogging to. And as I doubt they have any sort of tag search, I doubt they will ever find these comments. . . .
