Podcasting Philosophers

I was listening to my usual podcast line up this morning–which is actually afternoon for several of the people whose podcasts I listen to. This time-shift feature is amazing as it really brings to world much closer. So one of the podcasts I listened to was Lloyd Davis’ PerfectPath Morning Audio Blog. Lloyd is currently carrying on an ongoing one-sided dialogue (and no, this isn’t a monologue in the traditional sense, as much of a soliloquy as it can be) about the direction of podcasting and some of it’s future uses. Now I say one-sided dialogue because Lloyd (and any other podcaster) is speaking into the air and not to anyone in particular as in a traditional dialogue–however the target of this speech is still an audience. This audience may or may not enter the dialogue and if they choose to enter it, then that method can be either direct, or indirect as I have done here. I am engaging Lloyd’s message, entering the dialogue, and thereby broadening the scope (or narrowing it, as the case may be) of the discussion.
